The local mountain challenge with a route to suit everyone, from beginners to the more experienced hill-walker.
There are 3 levels of challenge to choose from, which all start at 8.30am in Donard Park, Newcastle, County Down.
Climb Slieve Donard (850m), the highest mountain in Northern Ireland.
9km with 850m of ascent, around 5-6 hours.
Climb Slieve Donard then Slieve Commedagh (765m), the second highest mountain in NI.
Summit Slievenaglogh (586m) before returning via The Brandy Pad.
17km with 1320m of ascent (the equivalent of Ben Nevis), around 7-9 hours.
All of the above 3 mountains, plus a climb of the majestic Slieve Bearnagh (767m) before
returning via The Brandy Pad.
20km with 1600m of ascent (the equivalent of Mont Blanc summit day!), a long day - bring a head-torch!
